• Need to open for public comment and final review
• Chris Carr to clean up formatting and distribute link for review

• Gazelle Development

• epSOS: initial testing event was successful; plan to add epSOS testing to IHE Europe Connectathon in Pisa in April

• Encouraging convergence on specs and testing methods

• North American Connectathon using Gazelle for registration; Steve, Lynn and Bill M feeding bug fixes back to Eric's team

• Results of Training Event

• Chris Carr to draft letter of acknowledgment to training participants
• Chris Carr to prepare Web page presenting list of certified Connectathon Managers
• HIMSS (Sandy Vance) developing survey to send participants
• Chris Carr and Steve Moore to inquire with professional trainer about future events

• North American Connectathon

• Connectathon Registration has closed; participation strong: record numbers of XDS and overall participants

• NHIN Direct participants important new audience
• Need series of press releases on significant themes related to the Connectathon

• overall growth and areas of growth: Chris Carr to provide updated language and registration numbers; target for week of Oct. 11
• relevance for HIEs, NHIN Direct (becoming the Direct Project) and other North American EHR projects: Didi Davis, John Moehrke, Karen Witting and Charles Parisot can help develop messages (schedule Oct. 19 meeting); Arien Malec from NHIN Direct may also attend in person (target week of Oct. 25)
• significance for Meaningful Use: engage Joyce Sensmeier, John Donnelly and Keith Boone to develop talking points (early Nov.)

• Also need package of communications (key facts and talking points) to supply to other organizations to include in their communications (eg, Direct Project)

• Contact ATCBs: Drummond, Infobard, CCHIT (check ONC page) about participating in North American Connectathon
• Invite executive leadership to conference (dialogue, tour, etc.)
• Where appropriate invite to participate as monitors (eg, CCHIT)
• Communicate through ONC to CHAPL to get contacts; Didi Davis will investigate and try to find appropriate contacts
• Contact Doug Fridsma and Carol Bean specifically to invite to Connectathon
• Action Item: Lisa Spellman and Chris Carr to develop written invitation for ONC to Connectathon

• Eye Care Connectathon/Demonstration

• Meeting for testing at RSNA HQ presently
• Demonstration at McCormick Place next week; Dr. Blumenthal to visit demo on Monday, Oct. 18

• Flora Lum to work with Chris Carr and Joyce Sensmeier regarding plans and messaging for demo
