1) IHE Korea Connectathon

  • Todd Cooper and Dr. Sungkee Lee presented IHE Korea's request to have its planned testing eventrecognized as an IHE Connectathon
  • Scope of testing limited to a single PCD profile, DEC, showing new Web services communication layer
  • Joint effort with Continua
  • Preparation for Demonstration at Asia-Pac meeting (Oct.)
  • Testing dates: Aug. 23-27
  • Call for participants to go out by May 1
  • Estimate 12-15 participants

2) IHE RO Connectathon

  • Connectathon Sponsor: ASTRO
  • Connectathon Dates: September 20 – 24, 2010
  • Connectathon Location: ASTRO HQ, Fairfax, VA
  • Connectathon Manager: Bruce Curran / Sunita Ranjitar
  • Technical Project Manager: Bruce Curran
  • Connectathon Monitors: Bruce Curran (co-chair, Rhode Island Hospital); Walter Bosch (Advanced Technology Consortium, WashU of StL); Prabhakar Tripuranemi (Scripps Clinic); Lakshmi Santanam (Washington University of St. Louis); Julio Almansa (Spanish Association of Medical Physicists); Others TBD
  • Profiles to be tested:
  • Basic RT Objects Interoperability (IHE-RO 2007)
  • Multi-modality Registration for RT (IHE-RO 2008)
  • Advanced RT Objects Interoperability (IHE-RO 2009)
  • Dose Compositing (IHE-RO 2010)
  • Treatment Delivery Workflow (IHE-RO 2010)

This will be the 4th IHE-RO Connectathon, previous ones having been held in 2007, 2008, and 2009. IHE-RO Connectathons generally have 10–15 vendors present testing 12–20 products. Bruce Curran has been the Connectathon and Technical Project Manager for all previous IHE-RO Connectathons as well as coordinator of the monitors. Walter Bosch and Prabhakar Tripuranemi have been monitors at all previous Connectathons, while Lakshmi Santanam and Julio Almansa participated as monitors at the 2009 Connectathon.

Test results are reviewed by the monitors at the end of each day and at the completion of the Connectathon. Results are presented to and approved by the IHE-RO Technical Committee following the Connectathon.

3) Connectathon Manager Training Events

  • June 7-9 Training event in Paris
  • Bill Majurski, Steve Moore and Eric Poiseau planned faculty
  • Need 3 organizations participating to go ahead
  • May 7 as registration drop dead date: need to allow time to cancel international air fare
  • Registration will be through direct connection with coordinator
  • Eric Poiseau forwarded announcement with contact information

  • Fall training event in US
  • Dates: Sept. 29-Oct. 1

4) Gazelle Status

  • Used to support IHE Europe Connectathon
  • Eric's lab has large list of comments and bug fixes from Connectathon feedback
  • Eric developing priority list of simulator actors to be added over the next several months
  • EPSOS project has need for specific simulators and may be able to contribute resources to development
  • Eric and Steve need to update development priority list and set calendar for milestones
