Minutes
1) Test Data Repository
- Reviewed proposal developed by Steve Moore
- Create consent form and Wiki page for Vendors willing to share their data sets publicly
- Gazelle has "Objects" feature that allows testing participants to upload test data sets and makes them visible to participants testing complementary roles
- Eric's team will continue to develop this feature; it will be part of testing at IHE Europe Connectathon in April 2010
- Consider implementing consent form for publication of test data on public "repository" page in 2011
- Action Item: Chris Carr to work on consent language for publication of test data
2) Gazelle Status
- Discussed proposal for restructuring management of Gazelle project presented by Charles Parisot
- Currently development of Gazelle is a joint project led by the Connectathon Managers, Eric Poiseau/INRIA and Steve Moore/MIR
- Connectathon testing has been successful, but absorbs labor resources of Connectathon Manangers, leaving relatively little for tools development
- Demand for testing services is emerging in a number of national projects worldwide
- Some may have financial resources to dedicate to tools development
- epSOS - IHE Europe working to become testing contractor for EU projects
- NIST - has funding for US ARRA testing and will issue RFP in early 2010
- Various "Projectathons" for deployment activities
- Focused virtual Connectathons with smaller scope and number of participants
- Funding would come with additional requirements and shared control
- Need to be prepared to respond to requests for services
- Currently the lead organizations are constrained in being able to mobilize labor resources to the problem
- Financing and resources devoted to Gazelle are not sufficiently well documented or widely understood
- Priority milestones to win epSOS/NIST contracts need to be determined (and expressed in clear messaging) and firm target dates established
- Key Milestone: When will Gazelle package be ready to ship to testing managers who want to use it to run their own External Validation Services
- Action Item: Eric and Steve to send documentation of project components, resources allocated to each and current development status by Nov. 18
- Action Item: Sponsors to assess current resource allocation and consider dedicating specific resources to Connectathon Management and Tools Development
3) Connectathon Mgr Training
- Proposed date/location: June 8-10/Oak Brook
- Faculty, curriculum, logistics
- Targeted promotion
4) Product Registry
5) Other Issues?
