  • PCC - Due in July. Forthcoming from John Donnelly and Tone Southerland
  • ITI - Schedule says due in September; should be due for October DCC call, submission date 2014-10-21
  • Surgery - still in formation process; Chris Carr to solicit status
  • Pharmacy - due 2014-10-21
  • Suggestion to add a comment to future plans about retiring superseded profiles
  • Motion to approve for presentation to IHE International Board. Carried unanimously.

Domain Coordination Issues

1. Development effort to create a matrix of HIT initiatives based on IHE Profiles

  • Current version is mainly US focused
  • Need to add more projects that have been identified more recently (eg, Saudi project, Image Share network)
  • Eric Heflin has provided information on HealtheWay and their implementation efforts
  • Need to verify contact names: should be individuals directly associated with organizations
  • Chris Carr has action item from August to begin soliciting new projects and verifying contacts
  • This resource can be used for promotion and also as a reference to improve communication between project representatives and domain committees
  • Offers a map-based format with links to more detailed information for projects; details could potentially include IHE profiles implemented

2. Multi-domain content creator/consumer harmonization effort

  • Tone Southerland reported on PCC effort to determine whether there is a generic definition and a uniform set of actions for these actors
  • Group referenced definitions in shared appendices ADD LINK
  • PCC actors are defined in profiles mainly focusing on CDA, but wants to develop actions at a level of abstraction that they can apply to other data types; other domains do use these actors with other content types (eg, DICOM in imaging domains)
  • Goal of project is to develop consistent abstract definitions that can be filled in with data types used by various domains
  • PCC setting up work group to develop definition of issue and approach for best addressing it

  • New tools and methods for creating technical documentation
  • Profile-specific Connectathon marketing message

Governance Implementation

  • Link to IP guidelines on Webex sessions - deferred to future meeting
  • Implementation of IHE-HL7 Collaborative Work Group - Outcomes of meetings on 9/18 - deferred to future meeting
  • Process for recording and submitting issues for the nascent work group
