Minutes

1) IHE Monitor Training Program:

a. SIIM/RSNA sponsored program successful in radiology; expand to other domains
b. Combine with Technical Project Manager training
c. Tie in to CPHIMSS; make Connectathon training an accredited activity

2) Communicating IHE's role in deployment

a. One-pager for HIMSS conference and message for Showcase


3) Improving linkage between development and deployment

a. Development committees to create materials that support deployment of profiles
b. Communicate how they are to be used in deployment
c. Track where adoption cycle is, what is available in marketplace
d. ITI strategic planning exercise: trying to build strategy for development and roadmap
e. Slowing the proliferation of profiles:
i. ITI requires development of white paper in advance of developing profiles
ii. Demands of national programs drive demand for ITI
iii. Product registry will enable easier evaluation of non-adopted profiles

4) Operation of Domain Coordination Committee

a. Insufficient resources are available to accomplish tasks identified by committee
b. Recruitment of resources from among current sponsorship staff by HIMSS and RSNA
  • Action Item: Joan McMillen will review current action item list and assign names and dates, weed out duplicates
  • Action Item: Joan McMillen Organize action item list around themes (eg, Website, communications, process, etc.) and consider forming task groups to address them
  • Make review of Action Item list the major agenda item on next meeting
  • Review Secretariat directions and process descriptions on Domain Coordination Cmte call

5) Development of testing tools

a. Canada Infoway may be interested in joining Testing and Tools Committee

6) Next meeting: March 3, 10am CT
