Project Description

Overview

The goal of this project is to align HIM business practices and capabilities of standards-based HIT products. American Health Management Information Association (AHIMA) team will work with Integrating Healthcare Enterprise (IHE), Information Technology Infrastructure (ITI) Planning Committee to develop a White Paper that will:

(1) demonstrate the alignment between HIM practices (workflow checklist, i.e. actions) and capabilities of HIT products to support these actions

(2) inform the development of national and international HIT interoperability standards for identified HIM practices and

(3) create the roadmap for the development of these standards.

Methodology

This project is based on requirements analysis elicitation methodology
