  • Title: Digital Health in China
  • Speaker: Jiwu Zhang - IHE China
  • Abstract:
  • Digital economics is already a national strategy in China. Accordingly, digital health is very dynamic in China now. The presentation lists couple of perspectives of digital health activities in China, which covers Infrastructure, 5G, AI, Clinical Information, Big Data, Life Science, Hospital Management, Wearable Device, Regional Medical Centers. The presentation cites government policies, regulations, national strategy, big companies efforts, and multinational companies’ involvement. It shows the big picture of the vitality and growth of digital health in China, from government to company, from hospital to patient, from life insurance to national health care coverage, from regulatory to business

  • 1. Idea: We could also do "panel discussions" as an additional form of a "special presentations", covering interesting aspects or problems for public
  • Agreement
  • 2. Idea: Panel discussions on "internal" topics, intended for IHE community should be treated separated
  • Suggested title for this new format: "IHE dinner table"
  • Audience: IHE community
  • Purpose: working up issues IHE is facing (e.g., brought in by Deployment Committees)
  • Example: Question IHE Deployment Committees are faced with: How do you help your government to introduce HIE with localized IHE profiles?
  • The monthly slots could by used alternating for a "special presentation" (for public) or a "dinner table" - as we topics come in.
  • -> Both topics are being discussed further and eventually approved in next GDC call (with US presence)
