Global Consortium for eHealth Interoperability Update

Special Presentation

  • European X-eHealth (Jürgen)
  • The European X-eHealth project is a very important strategic project in Europe since 2020 providing the ground work for extending the existing eHealth Digital Service Infrastructure (eHDSI) for cross-border exchange of health information. Currently the eHDSI provides cross-border exchange of Patient Summary and ePrescription/eDispense accross the European member states. X-eHealth shall prepare the addition of the following new health information to eHDSI in the future:
  • Hospital Discharge Summary
  • Laboratory Result Report
  • Radiology Report and Images
  • Patient Summary for rare diseases
  • This presentation provides an overview on the project, the current status of developments and its implications on standards development
