IHE World Summit 2019
Discussion of opportunities
- Discussing possibilities and aligning with upcoming regionals events
- No other partner than HIMSS could be identified for 2019
- Decision: IHE World Summit will not held in 2019
- Reason:
- A World Summit in Helsinki would compete with the IHE Europe Symposium 2 months before + the alread agreed conduction of a IHE Showcase in Helsinki
- A World Summit in Asia would be not optimal, because it was in Asia last time
- Targeted for 2020, starting to be prepared from now on in tight connection to the different regional events to avoid competition
- Opportunities to group with truly "international" events shall be found, optimally WHO
- Consider going back to the original concept of holding a "summit" like in Istanbul (packaged with hotel, etc.)
- General IHE-HIMSS partnership
- HIMSS agreement with IHE on international level just run out. Will be renewed, perhaps with addition of support events.
