Code Tables for Connectathon & Demonstration

This section applies primarily to Modality, AMI, Order Placer and Order Filler systems.

Each year, we compile a list of order codes, requested procedure codes, and protocol codes used at the connectathon and demonstration.

  • Order Placer and DSS/Order Filler systems must have these codes loaded in their system before the arrive at the connectathon
  • Acquisition Modality and AMI systems review the codes and ensure you find one or more that match the capabilities of your system. If not, please suggest appropriate codes, and Lynn will add them.

This document contains the codes used for the 2012 connectathon. Please review to see if changes are needed for this year: Media:Eyecare-coded-values-AAO-DEMO-20130926draft.xls

Network Description and Table Layout

A description of the connectathon network is included in this document: http://ihewiki.wustl.edu/wiki/index.php/File:Network_information-2013.doc The hostname and IP address for your test system(s) is assigned in gazelle. Look under the "Configuration" menu.

"How to"...

Connectathon test review

During the connectathon, you will perform a set of tests with your peers. Your list of tests is based on the profiles/actors/options you chose when you completed your registration in gazelle.

We recommend taking a look at these tests in advance, especially if you are a first-time participant, or if you are testing an actor for the first time. Here are 2 hints on methods of review:

  1. These slides give a high-level view of Connectathon tests in the Eye Care domain: Media:EyeCareConnectathonTestOverview2013-10-02.pptx. Each profile is illustrated by two slides...
    • First profile’s actor/transaction diagram is overlaid with the names of Connecthon tests in red font. This gives an indication of which portion of the profile each test covers. (Note that tests associated with profile options are not included on these overview slides.)
    • Second, I add test system names into each actor box, so you know who your test partners will be during the connectathon.
  2. Also, you can review the details of each test on your main Connectathon page in gazelle. See menu Connectathon-->Connectathon. When you see your list of tests in a table, you can click on each test name to see the test details.
