IHE is testing an approach to this in the form of standard-oriented review committees.
- Review Committees would be established for certain cross domain standards
- e.g. an HL7 Review Committee, a DICOM Review Committee, maybe a CDA Review Committee, W3 Review Committee, etc.
- The committee would review the design and use of transactions from all domains that were based on their standard
- Goals would include leveraging work, avoiding conflicts, finding common approaches, providing experienced input, etc.
An HL7 Review Taskforce has been established to test the idea.
