Current Activities

Cardiology Change Proposals

The TF Maintenance Folder holds:

• the Cardiology CP Tracking spreadsheet which lists all CPs, their current status and assigned editors
• copies of all CPs grouped by current status

Important: CPs should only be edited and renamed by their assigned editor. CPs should only be moved between folders by the CP Coordinator.

The Change Proposal Process describes the steps for submitting and managing Change Proposals. In addition to the standard naming, IHE Cardiology uses RJ when a CP has been rejected (e.g. CP-CARD-098-RJ.doc), CA when a CP has been cancelled, and CM when a CP is completed and ready for ballot.

CP Ballots and Comments may be submitted to ihe-cardio-tech. Please note that only ballots from Member Organizations with active voting privileges will be counted.

Cardiology Profile Supplement Development

The following Profile Supplements are under development and planned to be published for Trial Implementation June 2010.

Each of the main Profile Supplement editors should create a "status sub-page" underneath their main Profile work page. The status page should be based upon the Cardiology Supplement Status Template and can be created by following the directions provided in the template itself.

Cardiology Report Content

CDA Implementation Guide for cardiac imaging reports base on ACC Key Data Elements, and update to Displayable Reports (DRPT) Profile to include CDA.

Resting ECG Workflow

This profile covers the complete workflow for diagnostic resting ECG testing, including ordering, acquisition, storage, and reporting. As much as possible, it will follow the template of existing IHE workflow profiles such as CATH, ECHO, SWF, RWF, etc. The profile will specify vendor-neutral interoperability between hospital information systems, electrocardiographs, ECG management systems, and ECG review/analysis workstations.

White paper Supplement Development

The following two white papers are under development and planned to be published for Comment sometime during the summer of 2010.

3D/4D Echo Workflow Whitepaper

The goal is to define clinical use case on storage and display of 3D Echocardiograms. This includes coordination with DICOM working groups to develop presentations states.
