Minutes

  1. Approval of minutes from 9/23 call
  2. Update from Technical Committee
    • Reaching out to members of EP Committee for help with EP profile proposal for further technical development.
    • David Slotwiner and Donna Goldberg will be contacting members.
    • The EP profile proposal is in need of a technical lead.
    • Additionally it needs input from the EP lab and IS vendors.
    • Needs input from GE, J&J, BioSense, and St. Jude
    • There is concern that meaningful use is dominating the vendors' focus. This profile will potentially need to be re-packaged to suit that focus.
  3. Marketing IHE
    • There is virtually no one signed up to test Cardiology profiles at the 2011 Connectathon.
    • Not participating in the vendor showcase at HIMSS is a detriment to the Domain since that is where vendors get to demonstrate their profile compliance.
    • The Domain needs to begin marketing itself to vendors at the 2011 expos so that there is more uptake in 2012.
    • There is also a need to mobilize and educate the users.
    • Although it's most likely too late to get a big presence at ACC or HIMSS expos, there is a possibility for the HRS meeting in May.
      • Alan Katz and David Slotwiner volunteered to do a session.
    • IHE materials will be distributed at the ACC Central booth at the ACC expo.
  4. Other Business
    • John Donnelly will be presenting IHE profiles that support meaningful use the Wednesday of the HIMSS conference.
      • This will not just focus on Stage 1.
      • Image Enabled Office, DRPT, and IDCO will be highlighted.
