Approval Process for IHE Actors, Transactions and Glossary Terms

Introduction

To promote reuse and reduce duplication, IHE requests the new or updated Actors, Transactions and Glossary Terms be presented to the Domain Coordination Committee for review prior to publication for Trial Implementation.

  • Prior to submitting requests for new actors or transactions, please browse Gazelle for existing actors and/or transactions that may meet the needs of your profile. Please see the Gazelle Browsing Wiki page for information on browsing Gazelle.
  • Prior to submitting requests for new glossary terms, please search the Standards Knowledge Management Tool (SKMT) as defined here.

Process for Requesting Approval

Actors

  • The approval request for new (or modified) actors/actor definitions in a public comment supplement must coincide with the submission for public comment.
  • The approval request for actors/actor definitions to be modified in a trial implementation supplement must occur, and approval received, prior to publication for trial implementation.

Transactions

  • The approval request for new (or modified) transactions in a public comment supplement must coincide with the submission for public comment.
  • The approval request for transactions to be modified in a trial implementation supplement must occur, and approval received, prior to publication for trial implementation.

Glossary Terms

  • The approval request for new (or modified) glossary terms in a public comment supplement must coincide with the submission for public comment.
  • The approval request for glossary terms to be modified in a trial implementation supplement must occur, and approval received, prior to publication for trial implementation.
