Meeting Notes

  1. CATH Registry proposal
    • Extract information from Cardiac Catherization Report and submit to a registry
    • QRPH domain has done some work on a profile for Maternal Child Health submission (MCH-BFD Form). This could be used as a modell for us.
    • Mapping between Cardiac Cath Report and registry fields may need some transformation between the coding in the CDA document and the NCDR encoding system. Nick will send a link to the CathPCI Registry Data Dictionary.
    • Dependency/syngergies on/with Cath Report profile. We should keep Registry Data Dictionary in consideration when designing the Cath Report.
    • Medium effort.
    • If we do not develop Cath Report this year, registry submission profile won't be feasible next year.
    • We should also wait and see how well the QRPH MCH-BFD profile is accepted.
    • Antje to look Connectathon Registration for this profile up.
      • 9 systems covering 15 actors (5 Form Filler, 5 Form Mgr, 5 Form Receiver)
  2. Cath pre-authorization
    • Data submission (indication, clinical information) prior to procedure
    • The format and the elements to be submitted need to be identified => engagement with people doing pre-certification
    • There is a dependency in this on the healthcare/insurance system
    • This is a general topic not a cardiology specific one (X12 transaction, must fit in model for claims attachments).
    • Should be addressed in a different domain (ITI?)
  3. Housekeeping
    • Next Planning Committee Call: Nov. 29 4pm EST
    • Face to Face Dec. 12-13, 2011
      • Meeting will open Monday Morning at 9am CST (real work will begin 9:30)
      • Antje to ensure with La Shawn, that there is a polycom system in the conference room - done
  4. Cross Domain Strategic Planning
    • Cross Domain Strategic Planning Workgroup needs to provide feedback to the board regarding the IHE-wide strategic vision and is requesting input from domains by Nov.21, 2011
    • Cardiology Strategic Planning at[1]
    • Plan is for members to edit the wiki page with their thoughts on this topic. Next Wednesday information will be finalized, forwarded to the planning committee co-chair and submitted to Chris Carr on Nov. 21
    • There was a suggestion to add the clincal domains to the cross domain activity table and add promotion of profiles like DRPT and IEO, which are defined in Cardiology but which affect other clincal domains as well.
  5. Agenda for next Meeting (Nov. 16)
    • Prepare documentation of profile propasal evaluation for planning committee meeting
    • Finalize TC view on Cardiology domain Strategic planning
