  • Michael Tan: HL7 Pharmacy group seems to question this document. No contribution so far.
  • Jürgen Brandstätter: This work item requires a dedicated champion surrounded by a contributing team
  • Simon Letellier: External resource: "Medication and Standards Overview" of American Systems and Services LLC
  • Jose Costa Teixeira: Next step after "Medication Management" is the thinking of what to do with that.
  • Stephen Chu: Our work divides into the following three components:
  • 1) What concepts are relevant to constitute Medication Management
  • 2) What are the data and where does it come from
  • 3) How the data can and should be used

13:30 - 17:00 Pharmacy Medication List (PML) and alongside CPs

  • Pharmacy Medication List (PML)
  • Latest change: Pharmaceutical Advice Entries can now also be included in the list
  • Prepare for Public Comment
  • New version created (with minor changes)
  • Alongside CPs to PML
  • Introduce PML into CMPD
  • Further discussion
  • New version created (with minor changes)
  • New alongside CPs to PML
  • Introduce or change meaning of <author> and <performer> elements in PRE, DIS and PADV in conjunction with PML
  • New version created (with minor changes)
  • Extend glossary with PML terms
  • Discussion
  • Michael Tan asks why not a message based approach has been chosen for Medication list
  • Netherlands, Canada, UK are message-based
  • Jürgen Brandstätter answers that this concept fits into the overal document based approach of CMPD and its content profiles (PRE, DIS, PADV)
  • Transactions and the on-demand document concept fit into IHE landscape perfectly
  • Solution
  • The already targeted second approach for CMPD (message-based, named CMPD.b) should be used for a consistent way to resolve that issue
  • Problem: Lack of manpower in the group to work on CMPD.b
  • Problem does span over to PCC too, shall be discussed with PCC at joint meeting in Vienna 2014
  • Decision for whole package
  • Put the whole package to Public Comment
  • Proactively try to get comments on that by peer to peer announcement
  • Wait for response to decide further proceeding
