3 Agenda Items
- Standards Coordination
Status/Discussion:
3. Standards Coordination
- IEEE meetings in late January. HL7 is moving to standardizing on NIST test tools.
Proposing more robust process and tools and require using those tools. NIST will take current tools and move them into this framework. This helps advance test cases. John will continue to update us. Some detailed discussion of the topic and possible implications.
4. Marketing and Recruiting PCD, IHE
5. Calendar http://wiki.ihe.net/index.php?title=Domain_Milestone_Dates
Mary has come back with some timeline concerns, the co-chairs will work on that.
- Status of Adopted Workitem Proposals
6 Ballots
- TC cochair ballot will come out soon.
- PC - Still need some info before preparing
7. TC Action Item Review – not reviewed
8. Other Business
- Use non-IEEE balloted/approved terms in NIST test tools?
Mostly when someone new comes along – Interim terms use a value of ‘0’. Let NIST know of new terms and they will set up to not flag them.
International issues with SNOMED terms, something to discuss, maybe at IEEE meetings. RTMMS can use those terms, expand IEEE 11073.
- Updated templates available on the ftp site:
IHE Technical Framework Supplement Template - ftp://ftp.ihe.net/DocumentPublication/DocumentTemplates/Technical_Framework_Supplement_Template/
IHE Technical Framework Volume 1-4 Templates - ftp://ftp.ihe.net/DocumentPublication/CurrentPublished/DocumentTemplates/Technical_Framework_Volume_Templates/
- NIST tool capabilities
- ACM - Alert identifiers need harmonized. How to simplify process. NIST tool capabilities and workarounds. Deals with Alert indication, have a detailed term, ACM uses both. Want to harmonize

the process and message field order. John G – this seems to fall within specs. Extensive discussion, continued at RTM call.
