Discussion

Item Topic Discussion
1 Introductions & Agenda Review
- Chair
Status/Discussion:

Decisions/Issues:

  • Agenda was approved as published
  • NOTE: The group only made it somewhere between topics (3) and (4).

Action(s):

2 Discussion Summary Review
- Chair
Status/Discussion:
  • Discussion summaries from the previous two calls (2009.01.21 & 2009.02.04) were not reviewed due to issues with their completion. Finalization of this is scheduled for the next RTM call.

Decisions/Issues:

Action(s):

3 Vent TG Activity Past & Present
- Cooper
Status/Discussion:
  • Todd lead a brief review of the group's activities to date, including ...
- F2F at CIMIT/Cambridge, which was held almost a year ago
- Extensive discussions around key parameters such as operational mode or breath categorization
- Focus on a framework of concepts (semantic architecture) that could be used to define vent terminology gaps
- An expanded semantic architecture based around computational physiology
- Identification of new 11073 terminology requirements based on the need to export information to environments (e.g., HL7 v2.x) that do not provide for the rich post-coordination provided by the ISO/IEEE 11073-1010x and -10201 standards.
  • As stated in recent calls, focus should be brought to bear on filling the key parameter gaps that exist in the current Rosetta, and to do so in a manner that is easily accessible to ventilator subject matter experts.

Decisions/Issues:

Action(s):

4 RefID Composition Discussion
- Group
Status/Discussion:
  • The group discussed the composition of a Reference ID that could be used for when ventilator information is exported from a complete 11073 representation (i.e., terminology + data model) to other "external" representations, such as in HL7 v2.x messages or v3 CDA reports.
  • Todd drafted a MindMap to capture the discussions ... (PDF) ... (.mmap)
- This is an initial map capturing the discussion around the composition of a Reference ID
- The model will be evolved over the next few days to capture previous discussions and provide the level of detailed needed to finalize term "gap" definition.

Decisions/Issues:

Action(s):

  • ACTION: (Cooper) to update and publish the model based on previous discussions for consideration at the next meeting.
