Item Topic Discussion
1 Introductions & Agenda Review
- Chair
Status/Discussion:

Decisions/Issues:

  • Agenda reviewed & approved

Action(s):

2 Approval of Minutes
- Chair
Status/Discussion:
  • No minutes were reviewed during this meeting.

Decisions/Issues:

Action(s):

3 RTM Status Update
- Paul Schluter
Status/Discussion:
- New files posted on the main IHE PCD RTM wiki page.
- Reviewed the presentation made to the PCD F2F on RTM 2008.10 in Boston.
- All parameters are in fairly good shape, save respiratory & ventilator where major gaps and incongruencies exist.
- Next RTM development steps:
  • XSLT / Report that shows vendor submission issues / errors
  • Update table with resolved issue content
  • Groupings need to be finalized

Decisions/Issues:

Action(s):

4 RTM Vent Project Discussion
- Group
Status/Discussion:
  • The group had a general discussion around the approach to be taken going forward:
- Paul reviewed different approaches to terminology developement: "Cathedral" vs. "Bazzare" (bottom up)
- Discussed IDC term development (w/ MindMap development)
- Vent Mode is solvable, but should not be the highest priority
- Need to stay away from manufacturer terminology ... base approach on physiology & what is needed by clinicians
- Though a F2F will be needed, this shouldn't be scheduled until we have made more significant progress on defining the terminology.

Decisions/Issues:

Action(s):

5 Semantic Architecture Model Review
- Jan Wittenber
Status/Discussion:
  • Jan Wittenber reviewed an 11073 Semantic Architecture Model (presented in Vancouver; see attachments)
- "Signal" section can be thought of as data types; provided by -10201
- One problem is that we lose the "signal" context when going to HL7 ... have to add tags to the RefID to convey this information

Decisions/Issues:

Action(s):

  • (Todd/Jan) MindMap of Semantic Architecture (from the Vancouver meeting); this should be informed by the IDC mindmap.
  • (Chip Furniss) Publish vent model to the group (from the 2008.09.02 meeting)
6 RTM Vent Planning
- Group
Status/Discussion:
  • The group discussed the best way to move forward (in priority):
- Finalize core semantic components
- Finalize method for differentiating (discriminating) between observations, settings, waves, ...
- Address term "gaps"
- Finalize approach to operational mode
- Breath-to-Breath Annotations (high-resolution; helps describe the mode)
- Finalize "top level" Groupings
- Finalize ventilator device context model (MindMap)
- Alert Semantics

Decisions/Issues:
