- The epSOS project has defined a series of test requirements and events and contracted with IHE as the primary provider of test support
- Contract has provided resources for two additional engineers
- epSOS work imposes short-term and long-term delivery requirements on IHE
- Short term: need to provide support in NIST XD* toolkit for some modifications of IHE profile transactions in the September-October time frame
- NIST XD* toolkit needs to be modified to support the combined query/retrieve transaction defined by epSOS
- Bill Majurski is also working on making other changes to the toolkit (v3) to improve depth of parsing and validation response messages
- Bill is simultaneously adding support for validation of additional messages into simulator (not the internet-based server), which he can deliver in fairly short order; Aug. 20 is target date
- Tool is posted on IHE Source Forge
- Long term: development ongoing on expanded server capabilities (NIST) and definition of API for Gazelle simulator plug in (INRIA)
- epSOS funds provide additional support that should expedite delivery of API
